SHLA North launches on 19 September 2019 with its first event:
‘Anti-Social Behaviour, still living the nightmare?’
In her final report as Victims’ Commissioner for England & Wales, Baroness Newlove says that victims of anti-social behaviour are being let down by police, local councils and housing providers, with many victims having to suffer in silence. For its inaugural event, SHLA North has assembled an expert panel to discuss the report and the steps that housing providers can take to support victims better.
You will be able to hear from experts: -Paul Burns of Exchange Chambers; - Josephine Morton of Brabners; - Simon Evans of Sefton MBC; and Jenny Herrera of ASB Help.
SHLA is an organisation of and for social housing professionals and their lawyers. Its members are local authorities, housing associations, housing and policy professionals and solicitors and barristers who regularly represent social landlords. SHLA has successful branches in London and the Midlands. This is its first event in the North.
