You are invited to an informative event about social housing and mental health, hosted by the Social Housing Law Association: Midlands.

The event was originally scheduled for 18 October 2017, unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the event has had to be postponed and will now be held on 5 December 2017 at St Ives Chambers, 1-3 Whittall Street, Birmingham B4 6HZ from 6pm to 8pm.

Wine and food will be served from 5:30pm during registration and networking.

The event aims to provide housing practitioners with all the tools effectively to manage mental health issues arising from the Equality Act 2010, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the ever-changing landscape of social housing law.

We are delighted to confirm our speakers:

  • Jonathan Manning, barrister at Arden Chambers London/Birmingham who will discuss the recent case law surrounding mental health and social housing
  • Sheree Green, Senior Associate at Anthony Collins Solicitors and Court of Protection lead who will review mental capacity in practice
