The Speakers

Christopher Baker – is a founder member of Arden Chambers and the author/editor of various legal publications including ‘Housing Law: Pleadings in Practice’. He appeared for the Secretary of State in the Court of Appeal in White v Knowsley Housing Trust. He will be looking at selected changes to landlord and tenant law proposed in the Bill, including in relation to tolerated trespassers, family intervention tenancies and the right to buy.

Alaistair Redpath-Stevens – is a barrister with Hardwicke Building where he specialises in housing and local government law. He is an author and editor of ‘Arden & Partington on Housing Law’ and a contributor to various housing law publications. His talk will examine the background to the Bill, the new regulatory regime, tenant empowerment and changes to the Mobile Homes Act.

Chris Horton of Wrekin Housing Trust will chair the meeting.
